Youth Baseball

Kindergarten Tee Ball League

Place: Cottage Grove School
Dates: June 14 – August 2
Times: Monday evenings
Schedule times will vary and start at 5:30 pm
Grades: Kindergarten ONLY (2009-10)
(absolutely no 3 –4 year olds or kids going into K)
Cost: $30 CG resident; $60 non-resident
Registration Deadline: April 30

Games and practices will be played on Cottage Grove School Fields. Players will receive instruction from volunteer coaches and have a ton of fun as they learn to hit, catch, and play defense. All players will receive a t-shirt and hat.

Coach Pitch League

Place: Cottage Grove School
Dates: June 9 – July 28
Times: Wednesday evenings
Schedule times will vary and start at 5:30 pm
Grades: current 1st & 2nd (2009-10)
Cost: $30 CG resident; $60 non-resident
Registration Deadline: April 30

Games and practices will be played on Cottage Grove School Fields. Coach pitching will be used for this league. Players will receive instruction from volunteer coaches. Participants will receive a team t-shirt and hat.

Rookie Softball

Place: Cottage Grove School (home games)
Dates: June 7–July 29
Times: Monday & Thursday evenings
Grades: current 3rd & 4th (2009-10)
Cost: $35 CG resident; $70 non-resident
Registration Deadline: April 16

Games will be played in Monona, McFarland, and CG School in Cottage Grove. Coach pitching will be used for this league. Teams average two games per week. Participants will receive a team t-shirt, hat, and rental of pants.

Rookie Baseball

Place: R.G. Huston Park (home games)
Dates: June 7–July 28
Times: Monday & Wednesday evenings
Grades: current 3rd & 4th (2009-10)
Cost: $35 CG resident; $70 non-resident

LEAGUE TOURNAMENT IN JULY!!!

Games will be played in Monona, McFarland, and Huston Park in Cottage Grove. Electric pitching machines will be used for this league. Teams average two games per week. Participants will receive a team t-shirt, hat, and rental of pants.

Minor League Softball

Place: Northlawn Park
Dates: May 31–July 29
Times: Monday thru Thursday evenings
Grades: current 5th & 6th (2009-10)
Cost: $50 CG resident; $100 non-resident

Games will be played against communities in the Badger Youth Softball League and home games will be at Northlawn Park in Cottage Grove. Teams average two games per week. Participants will need to return pants at the end of season. Players keep the CG softball visors and shirts.

Teener 2 League Baseball

Place: Fireman’s Park or Ahuska Park
Dates: May 31–July 29
Times: Varies
Grades: current 8th (2009-10)
Cost: $100 CG or Monona residents
Registration Deadline: March 19

Games will be played against surrounding communities and home games will be in Cottage Grove or Monona. Teams average two games per week. CG & Monona players will be mixed and drafted onto 2 separate teams. One team will play at CG Fireman’s Park & one will play at Monona’s Ahuska Park.

Aquafina Pitch, Hit, & Run

Times: Ages 7-8, 9-10 – 4:30 pm
Ages 11-12, 13-14 – 5: 15 pm

Aquafina and Major League Baseball PITCH, HIT & RUN program provides youngsters across the country the opportunity to participate in an exciting baseball skills competition. PITCH, HIT & RUN is a free national program that gives boys and girls ages 7 to 14 the chance to showcase their baseball abilities. Area players will compete in age divisions, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.
