Calling all intermediate to advanced players that love playing tennis! The Badger USTA Jr. Team Tennis League consists
of teams from Cottage Grove, Sun Prairie, Madison, and Lodi. USTA Jr. Team Tennis is all about building your game

Detailed information and registrations can be found at the Parks and Recreation office. Practices will be arranged closer to the season (Thursday nights last year). Players should know how to score matches and be familiar with the rules and game play.
Tennis Troops I
Place: Northlawn Park Courts
Dates: June 7-17
Times: Monday thru Thursday, 3:30-4:30 PM
Grades: completed K & 1st (2009-10)
Cost: $35 Cottage Grove resident; $70 non-resident
Min: 6, Max: 12 participants
Class Full
This program encourages and teaches kids to basic concepts of the sport of tennis. Registration fee includes a tennis racket and ball.
Tennis Troops II
Place: Northlawn Park Courts
Dates: June 21 - July 1
Times: Monday thru Thursday, 3:30-4:30 PM
Grades: completed 2nd & 3rd (2009-10)
Cost: $35 Cottage Grove resident; $70 non-resident
Min: 6, Max: 12 participants
Registration Deadline: June 11
This program is available to graduates of Tennis Troops I and/or the appropriate grade levels. Participants must furnish their own rackets.
Beginner Tennis
Place: Northlawn Park Courts
Dates: session 1 = June 14-24
session 2 = July 5-15
session 3 = July 19-29
Times: Monday thru Thursday, 1:00-2:00 PM
Grades: completed 2nd - 5th (2009-10)
Cost: $35 Cottage Grove resident; $70 non-resident
Min: 6, Max: 12 participants
Registration Deadline: One week before start
Basic tennis instruction will be taught with emphasis on terms, grips, serves, returns and other basics of the game. Participants must furnish their own racket.
Intermediate Tennis
Place: Northlawn Park Courts
Dates: session 1 = June 14-24
session 2 = July 5-15
session 3 = July 19-29
Times: Monday thru Thursday, 2:15-3:15 PM
Grades: completed 4th - 7th (2009-10)
Cost: $35 Cottage Grove resident; $70 non-resident
Min: 6, Max: 12 participants
Registration Deadline: One week before start
Continuing tennis instruction for participants who have completed beginner’s tennis or by consent of the instructor. Participants must furnish their own racket.
Advanced Tennis
Place: Northlawn Park Courts
Dates: July 12-22
Times: Monday thru Thursday, 3:30-4:30 PM
Grades: completed 5th - 8th grade (2009-10)
Cost: $35 Cottage Grove resident
$70 non-resident
Min: 6, Max: 12 participants
Registration Deadline: July 3
Advanced youth lessons open to participants who have completed Intermediate Tennis or by consent of the instructor/recreation staff. Participants must furnish their own racket.
