Ad Hoc Sustainability Committee – Survey Winners Announced!

During the month of July 2008, an online survey was conducted by Sustainable Energy Partners (SEP) on behalf of the Village of Cottage Grove Ad Hoc Sustainability Committee.  The goal of the survey was to determine what sustainability practices residents and businesses are currently engaged in and how residents believe the Village should guide sustainability in Cottage Grove. Residents who completed the survey had the option of entering their names into a drawing for complimentary services from SEP. Congratulations to John Fisher, winner of the home energy audit, and Leah Raisbeck, winner of the wind or solar site assessment.

The Committee is currently working with SEP to define sustainable action goals that can be undertaken by the Village government and citizens. Watch Cable 98 and the Village website for information on an open house to view and comment on the plan before approval by the Village Board.

Meetings are held at Village Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All residents are welcome to attend. We encourage your participation in our meetings.
